Medical Emergency: Our health care staff are prepared to assist you in the event of a medical emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Dining
Sandfield Place is particularly proud of its elegant dining room. We offer quality cuisine and friendly dining service. Meals are prepared under the professional leadership of our Food Services Manager.
Our Private Dining Room is the perfect setting for a special celebration with family or friends.
Guests are welcome to join residents for meals. Guest meals are available at an additional cost Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner.
Housekeeping/ Laundry
Housekeeping: Includes bed making, garbage removal, light bathroom cleaning. In addition, each suite is thoroughly cleaned once a week which includes vacuuming, dusting, bathroom cleaning and floors washed.
Laundry: Personal laundry is done once a week. Each suite has a mesh laundry bag, labelled with the suite number, in which you may put the items you want laundered.

Each November, we hold a craft and bake sale that has grown in popularity over the years. The activity is organised by our retirement residents and volunteers. A lot of the goods are baked by the retirement residents throughout the summer and frozen on site for the sale. We also have numerous donations of goods, either baked or crafts by volunteers and family members and all proceeds go back to the residents’ council.
Transportation
Residence Bus: Sandfield Place offers scheduled outings using our own van.
Public Transportation: The Community Bus stops at the Cumberland entrance of Sandfield Place.
